My documentary-style photography means that rather than posing people, I ask a couple or a family to simply do what they love doing together, whilst I capture moments as they happen. I document their time together and create artistic images of their beautiful, every day life. This way you can remain relaxed during the photoshoot and have fun. Bath Photography: Get to Know the Community

The City of Bath is in Somerset, England. Bath earned its name from the Roman baths located nearby. It’s a spa town and a major tourist destination. Many of the buildings are known for their Georgian architecture. Because of the Roman baths, more than one million tourists visit the community each year.

Royal Victoria Park and Parade Gardens hold seasonal events and carnivals and Bath Assembly Rooms is a popular venue for events including weddings. From Roman times until today, the community has grown into a leading City which is famous for its Roman baths and beautiful 18th Century architecture. Bath’s rich history is extensive, surviving numerous wars and gaining popularity as a tourist mecca.

History of Bath – The Ideal Location For Photography

When the Romans first ventured through England, they stumbled on the healing springs near what is now the community of Bath. The Romans built large bathhouses and named the community Aquae Sulis in 60 A.D. In the seventh century, Bath Abbey was built. The community continued to grow and expand over the next several centuries.

Today, Bath is a tourist destination. However, it is also known for destination weddings. The beautiful city has several scenic areas where the architecture and natural surroundings make for lovely photography backdrops. Hello everyone! My name is Rose Dedman, and I am a professional Bath photographer. I am a mum and a wife. My husband and I have been married for many years. Together, we have three children who are active and outspoken. My family is why I do what I do. Photography allows me to fulfil my creativity and have family time too.

I love my community and know many areas to take portraits in, although I always recommend choosing somewhere that is of meaning to your individual family. I take note of all the little details. I know what to look for in terms of cues and emotional moments. I try to be as creative as possible to capture quality images that make the family smile.
