Are You Getting Married at Orchardleigh Estate?

Orchardleigh Estate is one of the most beautiful homes in Somerset. The fact that the property has only had three owners since the Norman Conquest is quite telling. Throughout the years, the property has been carefully managed and cared for. With over 500 acres, it is full of scenic views and beautiful rolling hills, making the perfect backdrop for almost any type of photography. As an Orchardleigh Estate wedding photographer, I can combine the exquisite architecture of the stately manor home with the surrounding breathtaking views.

Your wedding day should be what fairy tales are made of. The history of Orchardleigh Estate makes it the perfect wedding venue for couples who are romantics at heart. You can have your wedding at Orchardleigh House, St. Mary’s, St. John’s (Frome), or All Saints Church in Lullington. Orchardleigh Estate is close by and ready to accommodate your every need for your drinks reception and wedding breakfast.

The Romantic History of Orchardleigh Estate

The beautiful wedding venue sits on 500 acres of parkland, large woodland areas, and outdoor spaces. The property was originally owned by the Champneys. William Duckworth acquired the property and built the stately manor home that became Orchardleigh House in 1856. The Vincent Family bought the beautiful estate in 1986 and began to restore the property. After working on the property for almost two decades, Chris Vincent literally fell in love with his neighbour of 16 years. Heather White owns a horse farm next to the Orchardleigh Estate.

The historic atmosphere and the closeness of Orchardleigh Castle give the entire area a romantic vibe that makes it the perfect place for your wedding. A combination of Elizabethan and French styles ensures its romantic charm. You have the option of a traditional church wedding or you can get married on the estate. You will often see the bride and groom wander off into a clearing to share a quiet moment after the ceremony. The estate offers exclusive use for your wedding to minimize your distractions. This makes Orchardleigh House wedding photography stress-free. I can capture all of your photos without any distractions.

Events and Weddings at Orchardleigh Estate

The stunning country estate is beautiful inside and out. Ornate windows allow an abundance of natural light into the rooms. Outside, the estate has its own lake and well-manicured gardens that offer beautiful views for all of your wedding photographs. The civil ceremonies held at the estate can be as large or intimate as you like. You can choose the type of accommodation you want for your preparation time, as well as the rooms you will need for your bridal party. For the first night of your honeymoon, choose the bridal Suite. The estate’s three-day wedding package is a great choice.

When it comes time to finalize your wedding plans, your bridesmaids and groomsmen need to have their own space while preparing for the ceremony. As your Orchardleigh House wedding photographer, I can help with decisions that involve the first dance, the first toast of champagne, and creating the cosy ambience that will make telling the story of your day much easier.
