Natural, Timeless Wedding Photography in Somerset

Your wedding day should feel relaxed, joyful, and completely your own. My role as a Somerset wedding photographer is to capture it authentically, without interruption — preserving the fleeting moments, emotions, and atmosphere that make your day unique. Taking you back to how it felt to be there on the day, for many years to come.

I specialise in documentary wedding photography (also known as reportage photography), which means that I work quietly and unobtrusively, allowing you to enjoy your day while I tell the story through natural, candid images. The result is a timeless gallery that feels genuine, elegant, and deeply personal. Of course there are some couples who would like some group photos and perhaps 10 – 15 minutes of relaxed, artistic couple portraits, which we can capture quickly and efficiently so that you can go back to enjoying your day with your family and friends.

Why Choose Somerset for Your Wedding?

Somerset is one of the most beautiful and diverse regions in the South of the UK, offering a perfect backdrop for weddings. From sweeping countryside views to historic manor houses, rustic barns, and private estates, Somerset has something for every couple.

Whether you’re marrying in a grand venue or hosting a relaxed marquee wedding at home, the county’s landscapes and light provide endless opportunities for natural, artistic photography.

Favourite Somerset Wedding Venues

Somerset is full of stunning wedding venues and possibilities for a wedding day to remember. Each venue offers its own unique character and charm, such as:

  • Coombe Lodge – A breathtaking country estate with historic architecture and beautiful gardens.
  • Priston Mill – A unique countryside wedding venue with a Watermill and a Thythe Barn, cradled in a hidden Somerset valley, just outside Bath and Bristol.
  • Pennard House – A romantic Georgian manor house with a relaxed, elegant atmosphere.
  • Elmhay Park – Perfect for outdoor ceremonies and celebrations surrounded by nature.
  • The Talbot Inn (Mells) / boutique countryside venues – Intimate settings for smaller, personal weddings.
  • Private marquee weddings in Somerset’s countryside – Tailored celebrations at family homes or estates.

Each of these venues provides a beautiful canvas for storytelling photography.

My Approach – Somerset Documentary Wedding Photographer

My style combines unobtrusive documentary coverage with a fine-art editorial eye. This means I won’t stage or force moments — instead, I’ll capture the real emotions, natural light, and details that reflect your story.

You’ll still receive a selection of family group portraits (planned in advance for efficiency), but the majority of your gallery will focus on the real moments — laughter, tears, joy, and everything in between.

Luxury Wedding Albums & Prints

I believe your wedding photographs deserve to be seen, shared, and treasured beyond the screen. I offer fine art wedding albums, hand-bound in luxurious materials, and museum-quality prints designed to last for generations. These heirlooms transform your Somerset wedding photographs into tangible memories you can revisit forever.

Coverage Across Somerset

I photograph weddings throughout the county, including:

  • Bath and the Mendip Hills
  • Frome and surrounding villages
  • Wells and Glastonbury
  • Taunton and the Quantocks
  • Bruton and Castle Cary

Wherever your Somerset wedding takes place — countryside manor, rustic barn, or private estate — I’ll be there to capture it with care and artistry.
