I love my job and enjoy capturing special moments. In my mind, the best wedding photographer is one who can take candid shots that show emotion and connection. My job as a Bristol wedding photographer is to capture your memories so you can look back and re-live your special day whenever you feel the need. I love displaying my work in print and albums so future generations can share their wedding day experience in years to come.

Are you planning a Bristol Wedding?

I am fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the world and get to work at some stunning wedding venues in Bristol and across the South West of England. It is a county which is full of the most beautiful backdrops and scenic panoramas with many unique wedding venues. Many have a long-standing history whilst others are modern and include the latest amenities. Bristol wedding venues offer packages that couples can choose from to customise their wedding. From intimate ceremonies of six people or less to larger parties where the guests’ number in the hundreds, Bristol wedding venues can accommodate your entire wedding party and guest list.

Bristol weddings can be either religious ceremonies or civil ceremonies and, of course, you don’t have to be a resident of Bristol to be married in one of its luxurious wedding venues. Bristol is a popular wedding destination with many castles, parks, and beautiful cathedrals located in the area. Once you have chosen your wedding venue, your next step is to pick the best Bristol wedding photographer that suits you as a couple.

Bristol Wedding Photography

I am a documentary wedding photographer  which means I capture natural, unposed photos. I believe that this approach captures the most relaxed and genuine photographs which can take you back to a moment in time, to re-live your special day. When requested, I am also happy to take a handful of more traditional couple portraits and group photographs of your family, friends and guests, at an appointed point of the day – usually just after the ceremony.  I aim to do this swiftly and efficiently so that I can get back to what I specialise in – the candid storytelling imagery of your special day. My goal during a wedding is to work discretely where I look for precious moments and take the best photos when no one is looking.

I like to research the venue before a wedding. I explore the interior and exterior of the Bristol wedding venues to find the most beautiful backdrops. I look for unique features like working fireplaces and spiral staircases. I like natural light. I will look for rooms with large windows and exquisite chandeliers.

A Bristol wedding photographer shows the love a couple has for one another. I will take photographs of every aspect of your wedding, including the wedding preparations, the wedding breakfast and the wedding reception which is one of the most lively periods of the day and  will produce numerous photos!

I take pictures of both civil ceremonies and religious ceremonies. Wedding venues are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and receptions. Bristol wedding venues must be authorised to perform civil ceremonies and that includes weddings that are held outdoors which must also take place at a licensed venue.

Many Bristol venues offer manicured lawns and colourful gardens. Panoramic views make for beautiful backdrops and stunning wedding images. The bride and groom spending a quiet moment walking down the long lane is breathtaking. The photo speaks volumes and accentuates the love they have for one another. Every photograph I take is a small piece of the bride and groom’s wedding story.

History of Bristol

Bristol was established in 1155. Bristol spanned both Gloucestershire and Somerset Counties. Today, Bristol is its county. Sections of Bristol were damaged during World War II and the city was rebuilt after the war. Significant changes and upgrades were made and Bristol is the also home of the Bristol Grammar School and Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital.

Bristol is also the home of many beautiful wedding venues. Rustic barn venues are located in the countryside. Luxury hotels are located in town and close to many local 5-star restaurants. The church hosts weddings and receptions regularly. Bristol is located in Somerset in the south west of England.

Hello! I’m Rose!

Hello! My name is Rose. I hope to be your Bristol wedding photographer. I have won many photography awards including the Family Photojournalists Association who named me one of the Top 50 International Photographers for 2021. They also included me in the Top 100 International Photographers in 2020.

I have a beautiful family. My three children and husband are the joy in my world. Wedding photography reminds me of my family and what the future holds for the newlyweds. Life is a journey and I love to document weddings. It gives me a chance to allow a couple to see all the things they missed during their wedding ceremony.

When you hire me to do your wedding photography, I will do everything possible to take the best photos. I encourage you to relax and enjoy your day. Leave the photographs up to me. I have a relaxed approach and my goal is to go unnoticed, to capture every beautiful moment I can.

Memories in the Making

Wedding photography is more than just taking pictures. Wedding photography involves anticipating both the key moments of the day and the smaller moments that you just don’t have time to notice yourselves on the day. The little moments that mean the most when you look back. The first kiss, cake cutting, and your first dance are priorities but so are the holding hands, the tear in the eye of the Father-of-the-bride when he gives his speech, the children hiding out and playing under one of the tables, auntie Joan asleep in the corner. Memorable moments can occur at any time and anywhere so a skilled photographer is ready to capture those little moments throughout a wedding day or family photography session.

FAQ for Your Bristol Wedding Photographers

Will I be able to find my wedding photos online?

Possibly! After I have finished editing your photos and sent them to you for viewing, I may post a selection of them online for others to see. It depends what fits with my marketing theme at the time, and of course, only if you are happy for them to be shared. It is always super useful for me to be able to use at least one or two images from a wedding for my publicity and to help spread the word about my business. Some couples prefer to keep their special day private though and that is absolutely fine. I always ask permissions before using your images. And you will see the photographs before they post on Facebook or Instagram or my website.

How many images will I receive?

The number of final images you receive will depend on which package you purchase and how many photos you request. I can also put together a photo arrangement that can be used to make a wedding album if requested.

How long does it take to get the edited copies of my wedding photos?

It takes approximately four weeks to cull and  edit all raw images, this can be longer in peak season. But it will be worth the wait, I promise! I will notify you when they are finished and let you know when you can expect them.

What is your secret?

I am a Bristol wedding photographer. I love what I do. My ability to do what I love the most allows me to share my joy with others.
